Ocean Diver: 425 €

For those aged 12 or above and with reasonable fitness and good health, this course provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare for open water diving. Over a period of 4 days, a mix of theory lessons and sheltered water sessions safely prepare the student for five open water dives, culminating in the certification of BSAC Ocean Diver.

Maximum depth - 20m.

Course includes:

  • TP1 Ocean Diver Training Pack
  • The Diving Manual
  • Pre-paid Q-Card application (certification)
  • 7 classroom sessions
  • 5 sheltered water lessons
  • 5 open water lessons - (2/3 from boat)
  • Exam

Sports Diver: 375 €

Sports Diver is a 4 day course which further develops the skills, knowledge and experience of the Ocean Diver. Using a combination of theory, confined water and open water sessions, the student is trained in risk assessment, rescue techniques, the use of additional equipment such as the compass and SMB, planning for deeper diving and an introduction to dive leading. After qualifying, depth limits can be progressively increased to a maximum of 35m.

Course includes:

  • Sport Diver Notes
  • Pre-paid Q-Card application (certification)
  • 6 classroom lessons
  • 1 optional refresher/orientation dive
  • 1 sheltered water lesson
  • 1 dry practical lesson
  • 5 open water lessons (3/4 from boat)
  • Exam

Ocean Diver or Sports Diver Referral: 280 €

Those who have completed the theory and confined water training at home can conclude their Ocean Diver or Sports Diver course by making 5 open water dives in the relatively warm clear sea conditions of sunny Tenerife. At least 3 of the dives will be boat dives, and all will be under the direct supervision of our experienced BSAC Instructor.

Dive Leader: 500 €

Dive Leader training covers the responsibilities and skills required for safely leading other divers. Theory sessions cover such elements as O2 administration, dive planning and rescue management. Practical lessons and scenarios will give students confidence to become a role model for other divers and the knowledge to deal with emergencies. After qualifying, depth can be progressively increased to a maximum of 50m.

NB: 20 dives must be completed as a Sports Diver before dive Leader certification can be awarded. Dives made during the training count towards this total.

Course includes:

  • Dive Leader Notes and Manual
  • Pre-paid Q-Card application (certification)
  • 12 classroom lessons
  • 7 open water lessons
  • 2 dry practical lessons
  • Exam

Advanced Diver: 325 €

Diving Experience prior to this course must include:

  • Diving in a range of different conditions during 20 dives totalling a minimum of 600 mins in water time since qualifying as a Dive Leader.
  • Experience of acting as Dive Leader
